Description

The final project from my fifth graduate course was the creation of a mobile application. The goal of the project was to build a cross-platform (iOS and Android) mobile application via web technologies. I built my project around a family tradition of collecting funny quotes on a family "quote board."

Major elements of the project development included:

  • Development of the concept, including the user roles
  • Construction of a responsive website, which served as the functional basis of the project
  • Redesign of the User Interface to better meet the needs of a mobile application
  • Prototyping the mobile application

Once ready to develop the mobile application itself, I rewrote the original site in accordance with the mobile prototype design. For the class, we utilized PhoneGap as the framework for compiling the web-based code into a packaged mobile application.
